The Guitar Playing and Singing Guy James performed a great variety of songs. He evened played the harmonica but not while he was singing. 
Guy and I began singing together after I gave him a couple of voice lessons. His voice is warm and naturally beautiful.

It was my great pleasure to attend the Tarrant County College Foundation dinner, and meet the first recipient of the Darlene Marks Music Major Scholarship.
In case you don’t already know, the Darlene Marks Scholarship is a talent-based scholarship and was created by current and former students of Darlene Marks to reward dedicated students beginning a degree in music.
The scholarship is $500 per semester. The deadline for the 2010-2011 scholarship has passed. Please check the TCC site in January for details on the 2011-2012 scholarship application and deadlines.

We celebrated 24 years of family practice in Fort Worth. We officially handed over the reigns of the clinic to Greg Cartwright, M.D. on December 31st, 2010. Highlights of the party included a surprise visit from Kristen White Fass, Dr. Ron’s daughter and her children, (his grandchildren) Riley and Ryan Fass, background music on the keyboards from Echo Wilson and Tasty Treats by Darlene Marks.
In addition, we had great fun with Jennifer Meyer, a former employee of Dr. Ron and her fabulous SO7 Studios and Gallery. The pics taken at our party add to our fond memories. Thank you to all our friends and family members who were able to join us in our celebration. For those who wanted to attend but were unable for various reasons you were sincerely missed.

I want you to know that I have lost 12 pounds since Jan 25th on Medifast. I have three pair of jeans….fat, fatter and fattest…..glad to tell you I’ve gone from fattest to fat. I’ve lost 3 inches in my waist! I am having very little trouble with the program. I turned 70 this month and I had 70 pounds to lose when I started, now it’s only 58 pounds.
